Who We Are

  • Co-Founder

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Adrian Wong is a composer, teaching artist, and educator who aims to create engaging and moving music full of imagery, drama, and unapologetic conviction. Adrian takes inspiration from a wide array of subjects, from the impending climate crisis to matters of identity and social justice, as well as the smaller things in life, from the lullabies his mother sang to the tastes and textures of his favorite foods.

Passionate about music education, especially in composition and improvisation contexts for K-12 students, Adrian is a teaching artist at the George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science and teaches counterpoint, harmony, keyboard studies, and solfege at the Curtis Institute of Music for the Young Artists’ Initiatve program.

Aaron Brown is a bassoonist and educator whose art is shaped by his desire for exploration, variety, and diversity. As an advocate of new music, Aaron has commissioned and premiered several new works in a variety of ensembles.

Born in the rural town of Shapleigh, Maine, Aaron’s bassoon was his escape to pastures new——youth orchestra trips to Europe and a music performance degree at the University of Michigan as a first-generation college student were made possible through scholarships and support organizations——and he wants to help other young musicians achieve the same.
